General Information
City Markets (Glasgow) LLP is responsible for a range of markets selling directly to the Public and these Markets have proved very successful and popular.
At the retail markets shoppers can purchase a wide range of goods including fruit, vegetables, meat and fish at inexpensive prices at convenient locations within their local communities.
Trader Registration Scheme
Please note that City Markets (Glasgow) LLP operate a Trader Registration Scheme whereby anyone wishing to trade on the Retail Markets or reserve space at the Car Boot Sale must pre-register prior to obtaining any trading space.
This involves providing photographic proof of identification and one other form of identification. Individuals are then issued with a photographic Registration Badge, containing a unique Trader Number which should be worn at all times when attending any of the Markets.
A registration fee of £5.00 will apply.
Charges for Retail Markets - (Pitch sizes are in metres)
From 2 April 2011, the charges will be:
3.66 x 2.44 - £27.50 + £0.50 advertising levy = £28.00
5.49 x 2.44 - £41.25 + £0.75 advertising levy = £42.00
7.32 x 2.44 - £55.00 + £1.00 advertising levy = £56.00
3.66 x 3.66 - £39.25 + £0.75 advertising levy = £40.00
5.49 x 3.66 - £56.88 + £1.12 advertising levy = £58.00
Please note: Minimum charge is based on 12 feet pitch frontage. All pitches are “Van behind”.
