Sunday Car Boot Sale at Blochairn
The car boot sale is held on Sundays in the Blochairn Market Complex. It is the largest of its kind in Scotland and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. The Complex is easily accessed from the M8 Motorway and there is car parking for 800 vehicles on site.
The buyers walk areas of the Fruit Market provide 230 undercover pitches for rent and there are a further 290 external pitches around the perimeter of the fruit market buildings.
There is also family entertainment as well as mobile catering facilities and toilet facilities. An allocated Charity Space can be reserved at no charge for recognised charities to sell items for fundraising. To reserve the Charity Pitch, please contact City Markets Glasgow.
Approximately 200 pitches are allocated to traders who pre book space and pay charges 4 weekly in advance. The remaining pitches are allocated on a first come first served basis, whether singly or in multiple units, the level of charge being dependent on the location of pitch and vehicle type and size.
Gates are open from Midnight for people wishing to trade on a casual basis. During peak periods the site may be full by 5am, it is therefore reccommended that sellers come along as early as possible.
Car Boot Sale at Govan
From Saturday 20th June 2009, a Car Boot Sale will operate on the land adjacent to Govan Cross Shopping Centre, between Water Row and Napier Street, Govan.
There is space for approximately 60 cars at this location and these will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.
The spaces will be allocated from 9am onwards and the Car Boot Sale will operate from 10am to 3pm. Sellers are asked to arrive on site no earlier than 9am.
The charge for a standard space is £10.00 per day (for used goods only). Sellers who wish to trade in new goods will be charged £28.00 per day.
Trader Registration Scheme
Please note that City Markets Glasgow operate a Trader Registration Scheme whereby anyone wishing to trade on the Retail Markets or reserve space at the Car Boot Sale must pre-register prior to obtaining any trading space.
This involves providing photographic proof of identification and one other form of identification. Individuals are then issued with a photographic Registration Badge, containing a unique Trader Number which should be worn at all times when attending any of the Markets.
A registration fee of £5.00 will apply.
This does not apply to casual sellers at the Car Boot Sale e.g. members of the public attending on an infrequent basis.

The Blochairn Car Boot Sale operates every Sunday between 9am and 3pm.

Please note that the Standard Pitch size is 10ft frontage, however 12ft Stall pitches may be available upon request. All Pitches include space to park a car/van behind. Alternatively the vehicle may be unloaded and parked to fully utilise the selling area.
There are no tables/rails available for hire on the day of the sale and therefore sellers should bring their own.
